Individual
Counselling
When
you need someone to hold your hand and help you along the
road to enlightenment, awareness and personal growth, then
it is comforting to have a stable and secure relationship
with a counsellor.
Generally
sessions are held on a weekly basis, at the same time and
venue (physical or online) each week. However, TalkTherapyLondon
believes in offering flexibility to our clients, and therefore
we are happy to discuss different arrangements and negotiate
an individual relationship with each client.
TalkTherapyLondon has counsellors experienced in all life

Short
Term Counselling (Generally 6 - 12 Sessions)
Sometimes
an issue comes up in life that needs to be addressed and can
be contained in a few sessions. This service is offered using
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy
or Focusing & Experiential Therapy.
Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy focuses on specific problems and has
been proven to deliver real change on specific issues such
as Depression, Anxiety and conditions such as OCD. The therapy
works on looking at you early life experiences to identify
patterns and beliefs, they through behavioural experiments
and behavioural patterns aims to create awareness and change
through collaboration with the therapist.
Brief
Solution Focused Therapy focuses on what is right in your
life and looks at solutions that you already have. This is
similar to Poisitive Psychotherapy. However, Brief Solution
Focused Therapy following a structured cognitive model to
address and resolve your problem over a period of 10 - 12
weeks.
Focusing
and Experiential Psychotherapy.
Focusing
and Experiential Psychotherapy has its roots in Carl Rogers
Person Centred approach to counselling. In the 1950's research
was carried out at the University of Chicago, into why some
clients succeeded in therapy while others did not. Eugene
Gendlin, a colleague of Carl Rogers, carried this work forward,
and developed focusing and experiential psychotherapy. Focusing
has a proven track record in helping clients resolve issues
and make constructive changes to their lives using a short,
medium or long term approach. Focusing is a gentle yet powerful
way of accessing the wisdom of your whole body.
Long
Term Counselling (Open ended with negotiated ending)
Sometimes
life does not seem to be on track or it doesn't seem to achieve
the things that you would like. Our long term psychotherapy
is aimed at delivering significant sustainable life change
over a longer period of time. It is proven that consistent
therapeutic relationship as the greatest factor in successful
outcomes in therapy so this model is the prefered approach.
Psychodynamic,
Person Centred, Psychosynthesis, Existential and Integrative
modes are offered in Long Term Therapy.

Well
it is a modern era and it is sometimes difficult to get time
to travel to counselling or else it is easier to talk via

Couple
Counselling
Sometimes
there can be stresses and strains in relationships or issues
that need resolution. Quite often there can be a breakdown
in trust or communication. Counselling can provide a safe
and neutral environment in which to explore these issues and
find a wat forward in the relationship together or apart.
