- NAME: Hi, my name is Barry O'Donovan. I am originally Irish but I have lived in London for 13 years now. I have being working with clients for many years now. I have been very successful in helping clients understand and clarify their lives, and then makes choices and to implement changes to improve their lives.
- QUALIFICATIONS: Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling from WPF, Post Graduate Diploma (PgD) in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling from City University. Certificate in CBT. I also have a degree in Business Studies and Spanish (BBS) and I am a qualified teacher (QTS) holding a PGCE in Modern Languages and a Certificate in TEFL.
- PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP: I am an Accredited Counsellor / Psychotherapist with British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy - MBACP (Accred). I am also registered with the GTCE.

LOCATION: I have consulting rooms in Regent Street (W1), Finsbury Park and Cricklewood.

EXPERIENCE: I worked for over 18 years in facilitating change. Initially this was as a Programme Manager within the Banking & Finance Sector but then I decided to career change and become a Counsellor. I have worked as a Counsellor within many organisations including the Further Education Sector, Mental Health Day Care, Relationship Counselling, Lesbian & Gay and Alcohol & Drug Sectors.

PHILOSOPHY OF WORK: I believe strongly in honouring the experience, pace and direction of the client. I try to engage with the relationship aspects of therapy and I think it is key to provide a trustworthy and safe environment for the exploration of past and present life events. I try to work in a way that is most helpful for the client, be that integrative, CBT or psychodynamic. In essence I believe it is important that the space and time is provided for the client.
